What is a “D.C.” anyway?
Similarities and differences between Doctors of Chiropractic (D.C.) and Doctors of Medicine (M.D.)
Two types of doctors, one goal: Overall Better Health!
What type of education do chiropractic doctors receive?
Chiropractic education and medical education are similar in many respects; while chiropractors do not prescribe drugs or perform surgery, medical doctors do not correct vertebral subluxations. On average it takes between 7-8 years of schooling to graduate chiropractic college. After graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree, each candidate passes the demanding four-part National Chiropractic Board Examinations. Then, doctors of Chiroractic apply to a governmental or professional licensing board and pass a still more difficult test before being granted the pivilege to practice.
